Gender: girl
School:
Gymnasium and high school for girls
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for girls was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
I believe this is the most likely the right person because when I looked up the name in the data base this person was the only one that made the most sense. The other results were either too young or not female.

I agree! The only other possible candidate for C. Fiszlewicz who was born within the expected age range for Gymnasium is male, so Cywia looks like our best candidate. I look forward to seeing what you find in the next stages!

User Comment:
When I searched her name through the hospital records a result came out with the same exact name, birth and death date from the previous record that I used in the first stage. So I think most likely this might be the same person even though the address is different from the other record and the gender is not on the hospital record. If I am correct this would mean that she died on September 19,1942 from typhus abdominalis.

I agree. The note in the original record in the inhabitants database (as you correctly note on this stage) lists the same date of death as do the hospital records. It is not uncommon to see the hospital records with a different address than the original record, although we are not entirely certain as to why.
Thank you for helping to complete Cywia's record. If you like, you can now write a biography for her, where you compile the information you have found into a narrative in addition to listing out the names, dates, and addresses as you have done here. Watch tutorial #5 in the community center for more information.
