User Comment:
When doing an exact search for Rubin Pinkus, there were no results. We searched R* Pinkus and Rywen seemed to be the best option. He was born on May 20, 1932 which makes him 10 years old and at a good age to be a student at school #20A.Since he was so young, he might have spelt his name wrong or written really messily.

I agree that you have found the student who signed this name in the album. Rywen and Rubin are actually the same name: often, we see the same name with its German, Polish, and Yiddish spellings across a variety of sources, so be sure to look for different spellings of this name in the next stages.

User Comment:
We searched the last name Pinkus and Abram Icek Pinkus seemed like a possible father. He was born on July 29, 1892, making him old enought to be a father, and he had all of the same ghetto addresses. In the postwar list of survivors, there were two results for Abram Pinkus. One states that he was ad Lodz during the war, which makes us believe that there is a good chance his father is a survivor. We also found the possible mother by searching the last name Pinkus on the Lods Ghetto Inhabitants Database. Hendla Pinkus was born on June 23, 1898. She also had the same ghetto addresses. Hersz Pinkus could possibly be her older brother. He was born on July 25, 1926 and also had the same ghetto addresses.

I agree with your process and conclusions for determining who Rywen's parents and brother may have been. Have you been able to find any additional information about Rywen?
