User Comment:

I ran an exact search for Aron Minski, and found only one result. The birth date listed in the entry is 19 August 1930, so he is the right age to have attended School #20A.

I agree this is the most likely candidate to have signed the album! Thank you for explaining your process of condiering his date of birth in your research. Note as well that his address is listed as "A.M.", which means that Aron lived at this address on Rubenstrasse before and immediately after the creation of the ghetto. I look forward to seeing what you find in the next stages.

User Comment:

Noted in Aron Lajb Minski's database entry is his date of transportation (25 March 1942), and the transportation number (15). The secondary sources list indicates that individuals deported from Lodz in March of 1942 were taken to Chelmno, and killed in gas vans. It s highly likely that this was the fate of Aron Minski.

I ran an exact search for the last name "Minski" in the general database and found two entries that shared Aron's address (RUBENS 8 21). The first was Majer Dawid Minski, born 1 November 1902, whom I believe could have been Aron's father (he would have been about 28 when Aron was born). The second entry I found with the same address was Moszek Szlama Minski, born 19 July 1924, whom I believe to be Aron's older brother. Both Majer and Moszek shared the same deportation date as Aron (25 March 1942), and were on transportation 15. Thus, it may be presumed that Aron's father and brother shared the fate of being gassed at Chelmno.

Excellent work. Thank you for your thorough research note and accurate citation of your sources for all of this information. You might look under "Minska" for Aron's female relatives, as the Polish naming convention for names with a similar structure was that "-ski" was used for males and "-ska" for females.

If Aron was deported to Chelmno, it is almost certain that he was murdered there. You may add Chelmno as his place of death, citing the secondary sources. Thank you for helping to complete Aron's record. If you like, you can now write his biography using the "add biography" button.
