User Comment:

There are two people under the name "Chaim Majer Himelfarb". They are both within the appropriate age limit for attending school #12A. One last lived on MUHEL 39, while one initially lived at MUHL 39 17. I am not sure if this is the same location or not.

I'm pretty sure these are the same person--the dates of birth are very similar, too. Make sure you look for both dates as you go through the next stages. We also often see this name with two Ms (Himmelfarb), so make sure to keep an eye out for that spelling as well. Good luck in the next stages!

User Comment:

For Chaim, born in 1932, he either changed addresses or was deported on July 14, 1944, but it is unclear. Using secondary sources on Chelmno, it says the deportations stopped after July 14, 1944. I'm not sure if there is a correlation between the dates, but I cannot assume he was on that last deportation to Chelmno.

Expert Reviewer Comment:
Thank you for not assuming anything as fact. As for the two boys, it would seem in the first stage that they could potentially be the same person. However looking into it more, the A.G. date for the two is completely different, in day, month and year. This leads me to think that the two boys could possibly be different people; however, I do not know this as fact. Please list both of the A.G. dates and indicate which date goes with which student.

Usually when we see two addresses and an A.G. date without a transport number, that possibly means that it is the change of address date. However again, we do not know this for certain; the transport number may have just been left off the record. Thank you for your research and good luck in the following stages!

Thank you for not jumping to conclusions with this record. Were you able to find any additional information in the next stages that might help you figure out what these dates mean?
