School #8B
School #8 was a school for girls in Lodz. The students in #8b attended classes in the afternoon. Most students were between 9 and 15 years old, meaning that they were born between 1926 and 1932.
School #8b was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 26. The street name was changed to Alexanderhof when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Ulica Limanoskiego and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
Probable siblings are: Raczka Eleazar (see also Raczka Lajser) b. 15 Jan 1925 and Raczka Szyfra b. 20 Jun 1923, who share the same addresses and the same transport data. AG TR 8/2 (tho some discrepancy in the month noted). Neither of these names appear on the list of students (presumably too old).
Approver Comment:
I agree that this is the most likely candidate to have signed this name in the album. Note that there is another Estera Raczka, listed at the same Alexanderhof address, born in 1926--do you suppose these are the same person? In the future, please use the research notes field to let us know how you decided this was the person who had signed the album.
Also note that only 8500 of the nearly 14000 names signed in the album are on the site right now--there are students who were born in 1923 and 1925 who we know signed the album, so it is possible that her brothers did attend school and sign the album in 1941. We just don't know yet!
Looking forward to seeing what you uncover about Estera and her family in the next stages.
