School #8 was a school for girls in Lodz. The students in #8b attended classes in the afternoon. Most students were between 9 and 15 years old, meaning that they were born between 1926 and 1932.
School #8b was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 26. The street name was changed to Alexanderhof when German occupation began in 1939. See

User Comment:
POLA MALKA MILSCHTEIN also appears PERLA MALKA MILSZTEIN borrn 24/02/1928 seemed like the best possible match for the student. She lived at Sudeten 26 flat 6 and General-Litzman-Strasse 41. She was the correct age for School #8B.

I agree with your conclusions!

I also agree that this is the most likely person to have signed this name in the album. Be sure to look for both spellings of her name in the next stages.

User Comment:
If Pola/Perla was deported on March 12, 1942 she would have been sent to Chelmno where she would have perished in the gas vans. I found the following people living at Sudeten 26 flat 6 and Litzman 41, BASZA MILSZTEIN b. 1880 also appears as, BASIA MILSCHTEIN b. 30/12/1880, DOBNA MILSCHTEIN also DORA MILSZTEIN b. 15/10/1903, NATA FISZLA MILSCHTEIN also NUTE FISZEL MILSZTEIN b. 13/10/1929, MOJSZE DAWID MILSZTEIN also MOJSZE DAWID MILSCHTEIN b. 13/10/1931, and lastly MIRLA MILSZTEIN/MILSCHTEIN b. 20/08/1930 (she also appears with 1939). At first I thought Basza/Basia was the mother but I got to looking at the dates and I think it's save to say Dora/Dobna was the mother and Basza/Basia was perhaps the grandmother or older aunt. The family all had the same deportaion as Pola/Perla and shared her fate. I did research on her brother Nute/Nata.
Expert Reviewer Comment:
I agree that it's more likely Dobna/Dora was the mother given the ages. Great work and thanks for helping complete his record!

Thank you for adding her family members to this stage. You may also add Chelmno as her place of death. Thank you for helping to complete Pola/Perla's record.
