User Comment:

I believe Hela Lajzerowicz may be Halina Lajzerowicz.  It is not hard to stretch the imagination to see that Hela might well be a diminutive of Halina.  Or, perhaps Halina is diminutive of Hela, and she signed her full name on the card.  Furthermore, Halina Lajzerowicz, as listed in Lodz-Names: A Record of the 240,000 Inhabitants of the Łódź Ghetto, was born in 1932, putting her birthdate within the parameters of this project.

There is another Halina Lajzerowicz who is also listed in Lodz-Names: A Record of the 240,000 Inhabitants of the Łódź Ghetto.  Her birthdate is in 1926, so she, too, is within the parameters of this project.

N.B.: The addresses at Hohens and Julius refer to the Halina born in 1932.  The addresses at Muhl and Cegilniana refer to the Halina born in 1926.

Furthermore, it appears that the Halina born in 1926 moved within the ghetto to Holz 8 on 30 DEC 1942.

Expert Reviewer Comment:
Use the Given Name Database to determine alternate spellings of given names -- http://www.jewishgen.org/databases/GivenNames/. In this case the database doesn't indicate a connection between Hela and Halina but I would agree that you found possible matches, although we cannot be certain. In the future, please make sure not to write names or street names in capitals. Thank you and good luck in the next stages!

Thank you for adding both possible candidates and their addresses. I look forward to seeing what you find for both students in the next stages.
