User Comment:
In the database, "A.M." which is "Altermieter" appeared in the ghetto address field below HOHEN 23 22. This means that Chana and her family could have lived at the same address before or after the were moved to the ghetto.

User Comment:
This is all the information I found of Chana Kupiec so far and I think it's her because when I search her name in the source 'Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants Database, Vol. 1-4 &5' only one name came up and it was Chana Kupiec and the birthdate fit into the age range at school #4a. In that source it also said that her date of deportation was Feb. 26, 1942 and according to the secondary source the people that were deported from the Lodz ghetto between Feb. 22-28 1942 were sent to the camp Chelmno. Appromximately 7,025 people were deported and the comments section of the this "Timeline" Transports & Prisoner Registrations of Lodz Ghetto Jews" says that those people we killed in gas vans. All this information leads me to believe that Chana Kupiec passed away in that event, but an exacty death date was not found Also, I didn't find a labor card from her since those weren't given to the workers in Lodz ghetto until 1943 and she was deported from the ghetto in 1942.

I agree with your conclusions. Please note that this information comes from the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants database, not volume 5--select the correct database from the drop-down list of sources next time. Thank you for helping to complete Chana's record. Were you able to find any information about her parents?
