I matched Syma to her family by connecting those with matching last names to Syma's address. She lived with her father, Abram (b. 1902), mother (Szajndla, b. 1897), and siblings Fajga (b. 1928) and Jechiel (b. 1935).

The entire family was deported on March 28, 1942, during the month of daily deportations to Chelmno.
