Gymnasium and high school for boys
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for boys was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
I found two matches for J. Judkiewicz born between the years 1921 and 1927.
The frist name I found was Jehuda Judkiewicz born 27 May 1925 and lived at Hohens 48 flat 9 and Przelenta 16 and he died on 5.8.42.
The second name I found was Josef Judiewicz born 1927 and he lived at Hoehns 15 flat 24 and Narutowicza 31 and was deported but doesnt give a date.

I agree that either of these boys could have signed this name in the album. Please remember to add Jehuda's date of death to the appropriate field on the next stage.

I found living at Hohens 48 flat 9; Hersz Dawid born 09/11/1884 died 13/07/1942, Lipcia born 1891 (deported on 18/09/1942), Israel born 10/02/1924, Dobra/Doba born 30/05/1927 died 20/07/1943, Ruwen born 1932 (deported with their mother in September 1942). According to the Lodz Hospital records Jehuda was born in Lodz.
I found living at Hohens 15 flat 24; Sender Schulman born 1901 deported in September 1942 (possibly father/uncle) Jakob born 1899 (another possible father/uncle) Estera born 1902, Maria born 1931. I couldn't find anymore on Josef or his family.
