User Comment:
By searching the last name Waserkener under the fuzzy setting in the database, I was able to find Mendel Wasserkenner. His year of birth fits the age range for School#2, and his occupation is listed as Schueler. This was the only individual that I could find that had a remotely close name as the one that I was searching for. His notes also listed a deportation date of 30.4.42 and a transport number of 27.

User Comment:
The individuals that I found in the database that resided at the same address as Mendel were Dawid (1902- I believe that he is Mendel's father), Hinda (1901-I believe that she is Mendel's mother), Aron (1929- I believe that he is Mendel's brother),Abram (1931-I believe that he is Mendel's brother), and Frajda (1938-I believe that she is Mendel's sister). The transport date of 30.4.1942 doesn't add up exactly with anything in the secondary resources, so the location to where the entire family was transported is still somewhat unknown. The closest date for transport was May 4, 1942 and this transport was taken to Chelmno.

Thank you for listing his family and date of deportation here. I agree we cannot know where this deportation went, but I hope as more resources become available we can learn more about what happened to Mendel.
