Gender: girl
School:
Gymnasium and high school for girls
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for girls was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
I found Celina Brodt by searching for her first and last name by the exact setting. Two girls popped up (both with same addresses and birth years) that I assume to be the same person. Her occupation was listed as Schuelerin, and her year of birth (1924) falls within the age range for being a Gymnasium student. A moving date of 27.2.42 with the Talweg address is present in her notes, as well as a ZAM (registration) date listed as 26.9.41 was listed as well. I have not found anything indicating what exactly the registration date is for, but I will keep searching.

I agree that you have found the student who most likely signed the album. Thank you for adding her different ghetto street addresses. Please note: according to the Ghetto Streets database there was a Kosciuszki al. as indicated in the record, which was Hermann-Goring-Strasse before 1945. Good luck on the stages!

I also agree you have found the right person who signed this name in the album. I look forward to seeing what you find out about these various dates in the next stages.

The individuals that I found that share the same address as Celina (by looking under the exact setting of the database-there are actually what appears to be 2 entries for most if not all of the family) are Awner (father-1888), Golda (mother-1897), and her brother Manes (15.5.1929).
Expert Reviewer Comment:
Thank you for adding Golda's family members to the record. Can you find out more about her faith on the next stages?
