She is a female.

Based on the birth date and name match, this looks like the right person. Her ghetto address was Hohensteiner Strasse 40 Flat 30.

User Comment:
By googling the name Irena Landkof, I was able to find information about a woman that was born in Lodz (with the same date of birth) that was a Holocaust survivor. When the Lodz Ghetto was liquidated in 1944, her and her mother were transported to Ravensbruck for a total of 3 weeks. from there they were sent to the Wittenberg subcamp of Sachsenhausen where they spent a total of about 6 months (they were liberated by the Red Army in April 1945). From there, they travelled back to Poland, and she made her way to London in 1946. In 1947, she immigrated to the United States, and received a Masters Degree in Sociology from The university of South Dakota. She married Harry Jerison in 1950, and in 1953 they moved to California. She went on to be a prolific writer, and is known to have penned many things for Time magazine and Atlantic Monthly. She also was known as a political activist and became part of the League of Women Voters. Irena helped to found the Crossroads School in Santa Monica as well. Irena, upon her death in her Los Angeles home at the age of 84 (on January 6, 2011) was survived by her husband, 3 children and their spouses,6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. All of this information was made available through Irena's obituary on the ysnews.com website.
