User Comment:

I searched "Mosze Ajzman" and found nothing; so, I switched "Mosze" to a fuzzy search and turned up "Mojsze."  He was born in 1928, and there were no other names returned. I concluded that this was the boy who signed the album.  But then, I also searched "Ajzman" fuzzy with "Mo*" exact.  This turned up Mordechay Ajzman.  He was born on May 8, 1928 (same year) and lived at the same street address. Given the birth dates and street addresses, I believe these are entries for the same boy. Mordechay is also listed as being a student.

We may have found his father the same way we found his mother. We were searching for more possible relatives and we may have found his father, as well as an older brother and an older sister. Dawid Ajzman would have been in his late thirties when Mojsze/Mordechay was born, and lived at the same address. Also, Eta Ajzman, born in 1926, and Lajb Ajzman, born in 1921, both lived atthe same address as well, though they could have been cousins or had another family relation as well.

Excellent job--thank you as well for caging your thoughts on Eta and Lajb, who might be cousins or siblings or some other relation, we just don't know.

Good work!

Good work! I agree with your conjectures.

He wouldn't have been there long, as most Jews who arrived at Chelmno were killed shortly after arrival--so there might not be other information aside from this piece. Have you tried the other databases in the other stages?
User Comment:

I am adding the date of death and place of death to reflect (based on secondary sources) deportation to Chelmno and the likelihood that Mordechay would have been killed soon after arrival in a gas van.

Thank you for the addition.

User Comment:

From what we have recently learned about the Chelmno facility, we think we can assume that Ajzman died there. He was sent there March 15 1942 and in March 1943 the camp was decommisioned. Any remaining prisoners they had they blew up with the castle they used for their facility. Also, according to the website, Only four prisoners from Chelmno escaped, and none of them have a name that is remotely close to Mojzse or Mordechay Ajzman.

Excellent work. I agree with your conjectures.
