Gymnasium and high school for girls
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for girls was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
For S. Hoberman I found Sara Hoberman born 1927 and she lived at Nebengasse 6/8 flat 9.

I agree this is one possibility. What do you think about the Sara/Sala/Sura Hubermans who were also born in the right age range for Gymnasium?

User Comment:
I found Aron born 1884, Laja born 1889, and Ewa born 1919 all living at Nebengass 6/8 flat 9. I also found on Yad Vashem a page of testimony for Sara Hoberman born 1927 and it states she was killed in August of 1944 in Auschwitz. It also says she lived at Neben 6/8 so I'm assuming this is our Sara.

I agree this is correct for the Sara Hoberman listed right now in stage 1. Have you looked at any of the other possible candidates?
