School #1 was a religious school for boys in Lodz. Most students at School #1 in September 1941 were between 9 and 15 years old, meaning that they were born between 1926 and 1932.
School #1 was located at Goplánska 26. The street name was changed to Buchbinderstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Goplánska and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

Occupation was student (schueler).
Appears to have moved from Baluter Ring 3 to Insel Strasse 7 Flat 7 on May 30, 1942.

Based on the information from the Lodz Ghetto Database, it looks like Eichanan Dorenbusz is, in fact, Elchanan Dorenbus -- especially considering that his DOB would correspond with being enrolled in School #1.
Great job making the connection between the two names -- it will make the following stages of research that much easier. Keep on with the good work!

If Elchanan was registered at a new address on May 30, 1942, that would mean he survived the wave of deportations to Chelmno in 1942.

Based on the information in the Hospital, Labor, Deportation, & Administrative Records database, I think that your conclusion that Elchanan managed to avoid the mass deportations to Chelmno would be correct.
Also, upon checking the "Secondary Sources," there appears to be no other reason that Elchanan would have been "registered" on May 30th, 1942, as there are no records of deportations from Lodz around that date.
Great work!
