Further research following Aleksander's mother Chaja revealed that it is possible Aleksander and Chaja survived until at least May 5, 1943, as that was the last recorded move within the ghetto.
There was a deportation to Auschwitz the following day, and another later in the month, with a total of around 300 of those deported being selected to work as prisoners. It is possible that Aleksander and his mother were among these, as further moves are not noted.
