Following a short search of the death records from Auschwitz and the labor records provided, there were no similar or exact matches found for Alexander (or Aleksander). It seems possible that he may have died in the ghetto during the period from 1942-1944.

Further research following Aleksander's mother Chaja revealed that it is possible Aleksander and Chaja survived until at least May 5, 1943, as that was the last recorded move within the ghetto.
There was a deportation to Auschwitz the following day, and another later in the month, with a total of around 300 of those deported being selected to work as prisoners. It is possible that Aleksander and his mother were among these, as further moves are not noted.
