Srulek Hauzer was my grandfather. The 1929 birth date is correct. He survived the Holocaust. Simcha and Aron were his brothers and Gitel was his mother. They were murdered in Auschwitz. My grandfather's real name was Israel but Srulek was his nickname in Poland. He was never called Chaim-Israel so I am not sure if that is the same person. His name was Israel (Srulek) Hauzer. Can someone explain what they are trying to find out about him? Please tell me about this album with with student signatures? Did someone see his name signed somewhere from the Lodz Ghetto? I appreciate any feedback. Thank you!

The signatures of the children of the Lodz Ghetto were found inside of an album created for Chaim Rumkowski. The purpose of the site is to try to identify the children that signed the album, and to find out what happened to them after leaving the Ghetto. I am not exactly sure if you can see the album to be able to identify whether or not it is your grandfather's childhood signature, but if it is then this is truly remarkable! I am so very sorry for the loss that your family suffered, but am so thankful that you found this site and reached out so that if it is your grandfather, we can update the research and list him as a SURVIVOR. Thank you so much and god bless!
