Estera Aronowicz was born on July 3, 1930. During her time in the Lodz ghetto, she attended School #9, for girls only. She lived on Storchengasse 6, Flat 8, until she was deported to the Chelmno extermination camp on September 10, 1942. Chelmno was notorious for a lack of survivors; only two or three made it out of the camp. According to Secondary Sources, her Chelmno transport was "killed in gas vans; predominantly children under age 10, the elderly and sick."

I agree you have found the student who most likely signed this name in the album. In 1941 she would have been 11 years old, the right age to attend school #9A. In the future, please remember to leave a note in the "research notes" field explaining your process and conclusions to your fellow researchers--out of all the Ester and Estera Aronowiczes in the database, how did you decide this was the right one?

Good luck in the next stages.

I agree with your conclusions. Thank you for helping to complete Estera's record. You can now fill out a biography for her, if you like.
