Sara Rywka Ordynans attended school #7B, in which most students were born between 1927 and 1932. A search in the Lodz Ghetto dtabase turned up Sara-Rywka Ordynans, who was born in 1930. It was concluded that this was a probable match.

According to Yad Vashem's Central Database of Shoah Victims' Names, Sara Rywka was murdered during the Shoah, although when and where is unclear.

I agree! In 1941 Sara-Rywka would have been 11 years old, the right age to attend school #7B. Thanks for your great process notes, and good luck in the next stages!

We often find that Yad Vashem lists many students in the Lodz Ghetto as having been murdered in the Shoah who have additional information listed for them in the databases on our site. Make sure you look for Sara-Rywka in the next stages.
Stage 2: The Ghetto
Father's Name:
Jakub-Aron Ordynans
Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants
Mother's Name:
Ita Ordynans
Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants
Sibling's Names:
Noech Ordynans

User Comments:

Ita Ordynans lived at the same address (Alexanderhofstrasse 5, 14) as Sara-Rywka and was born in 1908. This would make her 21/22 when Sara-Rywka was born and a possible mother. It is also possible that Ita was a sister, but this is difficult to confirm.

Jakub-Aron Ordynans lived at the same address (Alexanderhofstrasse 5, 14) as sara-Rywka and was born in 1903. This would make him 26/27 when Sara-Rywka was born and a possible father. According to Lodz Ghetto Hospital Death Records, a Jakob Ordynans--born in 1902 but living at Alexanderhofstrasse 5--died on February 13th 1942 of starvation.

Noech Ordynans also lived at the same address as Sara-Rywka and was born in 1934. This makes him a likely younger brother (or cousin or other young related male) of Sara-Rywka.

Another possible relative is Jochwet Ordynans, who lived at the matching address and was born in 1884. This would have made her 45/46 when Sara-Rwyka was born, and this could make her a possible aunt.
