I looked up H. Rajch in the search menu, then followed up by clicking the link for the Inhabitants Database. Making sure the birth date matched, I looked for a female born between the years of 1926 and 1932. I came up with Hinda Brucha Rajch. I then looked her up on the Jewish Gen website Lodz Ghetto List.

Thank you for listing your sources. There are a few other possibilities with last names that begin with Rajch, but for students whose last name is simply Rajch, I agree that Hinda is the most likely match. In 1941 she would have been 13 years old, the right age for school #17b.

If you look for her in the database on this site, you find the ghetto note "WYM 20.11.43 STASZYC". Staszyc appears to be short for Staszyca or Staszica, the Polish name for Hertastrasse, so we now have a date on which she moved to or from the Hertastrasse address as well. You can add that information to stage 2. Thanks!

After recieving an email I was pointed in the direction of information about a change of address. I came across WYM 20.11.43 STASZYC. This is supposedly a date when she moved to or from her Hertastrasse address.

I agree that this date refers to a change of address to or from Staszyc/Hertastrasse. I look forward to seeing what else you find out about Hinda.

Remember to check the database for other possible "H. Rajch"s who could have signed this name in the album.
