I searched for Alber, A and three names came up with the same birth date that matched the range for school #1. The name was Abram Alberstein, sometimes spelled Albersztein. The first and last of the names have the same ghetto address, Leibl 9, both having moved from different places to Leibl 9. The very last name, Abram Albersztein, has the same ghetto address, Krauter 21 10 and Leibl 9, as Jacob Ber Albersztein. His DOB is 12/31/1910 and he has the same ghetto note, 12/16/42 as the last Abram Albersztein. We think these two are related, possibly brothers or cousins.

Thank you for your research! The birthdates and overlapping addresses not only place Abram Albersztein/Alberstein in the right age bracket to be A. Alber, but gives good evidence that these three entries are the same person, or, at the very least, related. We do need to point out, though, that the ghetto note for the first Abram Alberstein indicates that he was transported to Chelmno on September 9, 1942, meaning he would have perished shortly after. However, the ghetto note for the third entry is 16.12.42, which could possibly be December 16, 1942. If this number is in fact a date, the first Abram would have died three months before the Abram in the first entry, presenting the possibility that these entries may represented different people, perhaps close relatives. While the number in the third entry may not actually be a date, it presents enough of a possibility that at least two of the Abrams are separate people, perhaps close relatives. Therefore, it is only possible that A. Alber is Abram Alberstein. Also, great research in finding the possible relative Jacob Albersztein, it is likely that he is related to Abram in some manner. Thank you for your effort and we welcome you to return to the database and take your research further.
