When I entered the field for he date of death, I assumed that since she was deported to Chelmno that she was killed in gas vans on the same day.

Yes, according to the Timeline of Transports of the Lodz Ghetto Jews, transportations from Lodz on May 4th through the 15th were all to Chelmno and all were immediately killed in the gas vans.
