Here's an interesting twist that suggests "Cerka Amatenstajn" and "Cerka Amatorstajn" might be the same person. The Dachau Concentration Camp records include a listing for "Chaim AMATORSTEIN," and he may be the same person that you have identified as Cerka's father, "Chaim Amatenstajn." According to the Dachau records, he was born July 12, 1902, which would make him 4 years younger than the birth date listed in the Lodz Ghetto Database, but it is still plausible it's the same person. He is listed as having been born in Piotrkow but imprisoned in Litzmannstadt (ie, the Lodz ghetto) before being sent to Dachau via Auschwitz on September 1, 1944 (ie, during the ghetto liquidation). Sadly, Chaim died at Dachau on March 9, 1945.
