I read The Diary of Anne Frank for the first time when I was much older than most. I already had a curiosity about the Holocaust and I happened to pick this up. Now I teach it faithfully to my students every year. It is because of Anne Frank that the world had to face what had happened, and it is still because of her and her contemporaries we remember. God gave this world an angel in her.

This story really affected me. I now realize, after reading it, that compared to them, we have it really good. From this story, I got the fact that we shouldn't worry over the small things, because they are really small, and we should just appreciate the way we live, because it is really pretty good. Anne can relate to me a lot because of the fact that she is my age and that she liked to write her thoughts down.

Anne Frank's story had a great effect on me, especially her opinions on how if people keep on giving then they shall receive and set a good example so as time goes on the whole world will be a good example. Anne Frank inspired me to give more to people and the world, and I believe as well that all people really are good at heart but as their lives have gone on they have just gone down the wrong road. Despite the fact that Anne Frank lived in a very different time than me, I can relate to her. It easily frustrates me that people can be so self centered and can only care about their needs when they don't even stop to think about the other billion people in the world that have in much worse and are suffering. Which is what I believe is the message that Anne Frank was trying to explain.

I found Anne Frank's diary a touching story. In my English class we read and acted out the play. We even spent a whole class acting like we were in hiding, with our shoes off, not leaving class or going to the bathroom. it made me realize how hard it mush have been. Anne was a great person and an amazing writer.

My class just read a play about the diary of Anne Frank. Since I had never read the book, this website has really helped me understand what happened over those two years to everyone that had hid in the attic. It helped me understand Anne better too. She was a happy, smart girl who could have related to any girl today. It's sad to think about everything she had been through at such a young age but her story made a huge impact on me, and everyone else who has read it.

I never knew how many people died in the Holocaust. Anne Frank's story is very sad, and it made me aware of how devastating this time in history really was. I would be scared to hide in a secret annex for two years. The Diary of Anne Frank is probably one of the best books i have ever read.

I found Anne's diary really interesting and I love her stories. She was really good at what she did. I especially like "Eva's Dream." Anne's story is sad and I really wish that she had survived. Her diary is wonderful and I'm glad we at least have that. Live on Anne Frank, live on.

The story of Anne Frank was really inspirational. This story made me realize that when we say we are sad and that life isnt all that worth it we should really take that back. All that Anne went through is nothing compared to what our problems are like today. Her diaries and essays and short stories were very comical. Those i would say were my favorite part. I would like to tell Anne Frank, i am sorry what you went throguht, but thank you for showing us that people are good no matter what background they come from. Thank you for showing us that life is very meaningful and that someday like you we will too pass on and the world will still be living on without us, just like you.

After coming to this website I feel like I understand Anne Frank better. In my school we read the Anne Frank play, and I learned a lot from it, but I learned more from this website than I did from the play. Anne Frank's story is probably one of the saddest I have ever heard about, but how she stayed so positive through it all amazes me. I learned a lot from this website like how Anne used to write fairy tales, and kept a notebook where she wrote all her favorite quotations from books she read while she was in the Secret Annex. Anne's essay "Give" made me think about the way we still treat the less fortunate. Even though Anne lived in a time much different from our own I feel like I can relate to her on some levels. Anne was a teenage girl so that part is easy to relate to because teenage girls will always have the same type of problems, for example her feelings about Peter and her mother always telling her what to do, girl today still get mad when their parents tell them what to do. But then Anne was different from a normal teenage girl. Anne had to live in an attic to hide from the Nazis, she was brave the whole time she hid in the attic. I don't think I could ever be as brave as Anne. This website has really added to my knowledge of Anne Frank, and I know plan on reading her diary.

The play of Anne Frank was amazing and life changing. It made me think a lot more about the life of Jewish people and how hard it must have been on them. It's hard to relate to Anne because it's impossible to imagine what life hiding out must have been like. I would never be able to deal with the fact that I could be found at any second. Thank you Anne Frank for leaving your diary behind and sharing your story with the world.
