We searched in the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants Database Vol 1-4 &5, and we found that her ghetto address was:
AL I MAJA 7
SATTLER 17 3

The database comes up with an exact match for Brucha Zalbe, and the date of birth you list, in January 1924, makes her 17 years old in September 1941, the appropriate age to be in Gymnasium. I think you've found the woman who signed the album!

Your classmates noted Brucha's ghetto addresses in a discussion that branches from Brucha's record in the workspace--would you mind copying them into the comment field on this stage?

We'll talk about Moszek and Rachela in Stage 2. Since Stage 2 is where we list parents (as you've already figured out!), it would be great if you could copy the comment field from Stage 1, where you talk about Moszek and Rachela, into Stage 2. Thanks!

I'm going to mark your research as "confirmed," since the name and date are both appropriate for this Brucha to have signed the album. Great job--looking forward to seeing more of your research!

I believe that Moszek Zalbe could have been Brucha's father. He would have been 31 years old when she was born. Both have the same a addresses in their information. Although, I am not sure that he is the father most likely he is a male relative.

Rachela Zalbe could have been Brucha's sister. She was born a year earlier than Brucha and they also have the same addresses.

Leonia Zalbe has the same addresses as Brucha. Although in her record it is stated that she was born in 1834, there might have been an error when transcribing the information. Leonia could have been born in 1934 making her Brucha's sister or cousin.

I agree that Moszek is probably Brucha's father--the age difference you describe in your comment in Stage 1 is appropriate, and both are listed at the same address. I also think that Ruchela is likely to be a female relative of Brucha--a sister or cousin--again due to the matching addresses.

Something interesting I found when double-checking your research: there's a Leonia Zalbe also listed at the same addresses, but her DOB is listed in 1834. My skepticism about how letters and numbers are often entered incorrectly or written down and transcribed wrong leads me to believe this might be another sister, born in 1934. What do you think?

Again, please copy your comment about Moszek and Ruchla from Stage 1 to the comment field here so we can follow your train of thought. I'll happily mark this stage "Confirmed" as well--can't wait to hear more as you find it out!

ED: Thanks so much for adding the clarifying information--if you are uncertain about Moszek, though, you might want to move him from the "Father" category and keep him in the "comments" field (and THEN I can mark this stage "confirmed"!). Thanks!

ED 2: Awesome. I still really like the way you talk about your process as well as the uncertainty. Thanks for the great work!
