User Comments:
When searching for S. Jelin I found one match that was born between the correct years. The boy was SZAJA JELIN born 1931 and he lived at Franzestrasse 28 flat 2. He also had ALTER MIETER as an address and I'm not sure what this refers to. He was also deported on transport 1/2.

_ I don't know how I missed SRULEK JELEN but I also believe he is match. He was born on 25 April 1931 and he lived at Sulzfelderstrasse 94 flat 26. * While I was searching for Srulek's family I actually found Izrael Jelin born 25 April 1931 and living at Nordstasse 26 flat 20 and Sulzfelderstrasse 94 (no flat number). I'm pretty certain Srulek & Izrael are the same boy given the similarites in their birthdates and addresses. He appears again as Izrael Jelin born 26 April 1931 and living at Sulzfelderstrasse 94 flat 26 and ZACHODNIA 66. He changed addresses on 18/11/1941 to POLNOCNA (which changed to Nordstrasse). He was deported with Transport 6/2.

I agree that these are both possible candidates to have signed this name in the album, and that Srulek and Izrael are the same person--maybe Srulek is a nickname for Izrael? Please add their deportation information to the appropriate fields on the next stage.

Alter Mieter means "old tenant" in German. We think this refers to an address where the person was living before and immediately after the creation of the ghetto--so Szaja's family lived at Franzstrasse 28 #2 before the ghetto was created, too.

I couldn't find anymore information on Szaja's transport 1/2 so I don't know where he and his family were deported to. I found Mordka born 1895, Brucha born 1898, Icek born 1921, and Lajb born 1924 all living at the same address.

_____

I found Srulek/Izrael's family under the last names Jelin/Jelen.

Zajnwel born 15/12/1893 or 16/07/183 and died 09/07/1941 (his father) (Zajnwel was the son of Danel & Hinda Jelen nee Szer)

Sura Fajga or Fajga born 1896 (his mother)

Chil Alter born 24/12/1924 (his brother)

Jankiel Icek born 1927.

I couldn't find anymore information on Srulek/Izrael's transport number.

Thank you for adding in all the information on Szaja and Srulek's family members. Who does the change of address go with?
