In the database, it is reported that she was deported on September 9, 1942. Therefore, the chances are that she was sent to Chelmno and most likely died there. In the secondary source, there are listed transports from September 5-12 from Lodz to Chelmo of more than 15,675 people, predominantly children under the ge of 12, the elderly, and the sick. Even though she is 11, we have reasonable evidence to believe she was killed in these gas vans at Chelmno.

Excellent work. I agree that this is the student who most likely signed this name in the album--all other possible candidates are male. Jechudit was born in 1930, making her 11 years old in 1941 when the album was signed, the right age to attend school #9A. In the future, please make sure you use the "research notes" field to explain your process for determining that the name you found in the database is likely the student who signed the name in the album.

I also agree that it is likely Jechudit was deported as part of the Gehsperre-Aktion in September 1942, as you mention in your notes. Thanks for your good work matching up the information in the database with the secondary source materials.

We determined that Sara Najberg is Jehudit's mother or close relative. We went through the source "Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants" searching the exact last name 'Najberg.' We paid special attention to those who were born around the 1900s, which would place them at an age to have been parents to Jehudit. Sara Najberg had all of the same ghetto street addresses and transfers in the ghetto as Jehudit.

I agree that this is the date of deportation listed in the database. Great work on determining who her mother was.

Thank you for helping to complete Jehudit's record.
