User Comments:

I decided that this person signed the album two ways. First, I looked at her occupation. It says SCHUELERIN, which means student I believe. Secondly, by looking at her birthdate, she would be around the right age for a student. She would be 12 years old.

Also, I went to ancestry.com and found more information with the name Dwora Cwilich:

Ghetto: Lodz
Name: Dwora Cwilich
Gender: F (Female)
Birth Date: 14 Oct 1929
Profession: Schneiderin (Tailor)
Address: 47 Flat 59 Alexanderhof Strasse
Residence: Lodz, Poland
Deportation Type: AG
Deportation Date: 02 Apr 1942

Using the secondary source http://online.ushmm.org/lodzchildren/documentation/secondary_sources.pdf and the information above, Dwora would have been killed in Chelmno in a gas van. Of course, given this information is correct.

Ancestry.com is a website with thousands of documents on people. It's how you look up your family tree basically.

I agree you have found the student who signed the album. In 1941 she would have been 12 years old, the right age to attend school #8b. Thank you for adding the note about your process.

Excellent work in this resubmission. Best of luck in the next stages.

Can you tell me more about the source you used to determine her date of deportation? Ancestry.com itself is not a source, but you might have used a database within it to give you this information.
