It is possible that Ruchla was the student who signed the album. However, there are many other girls who could have signed the album "R. Adler" as gymnasium/high school students in 1941... ADLER, Rachela born 30/10/1922; ADLER, Rajzel/Rajzla born 08/08/1924; ADLER, Ruta/Ruth born 10/06/1926 -- so, why choose Ruchla? Perhaps once we have additional documents from the ghetto schools available online, we'll be able to confirm which of these girls signed the album.

amandeep - It is possible that Ruchla is the student who signed the album in 1941 (and she did, indeed, die of tuberculosis in the ghetto on May 18, 1943). However, she would have been a 20 year old student in 1941, and there are several other girls who could have signed the album "R. Adler" -- Rachela (b. 1922), Rajzel/Rajzla (b. 8.8.1924) and Ruth/Ruta (b. 10.6.1926). Therefore, I can only mark your entry as "possible." [As an interesting side note, Ruth/Ruta appears to have been transported via Auschwitz to Stutthof.]
