Student Profile: Szymon Gepner

We think Sura Mindla Gepner is the mother since she was born in 1900 and lived at Schmiede 8 4 and Buschilnie 3 5 with Szymon.

Krajndla Gepner may be a sister. She was born in 1928 and also lived at Schmiede 8 4 and Buschilnie 3 5.

Icek Gepner may be a brother. He was born in 1925 and lived at Schmiede 8 4 and Buschilnie 3 5.

Efrojm Ojzer Gepner may be the father. He was born in 1891 and lived at Schmiede 8 4.

We know Szymon was alive 7/1/1943 since the ghetto note Buschlinie 3 5 ABG 7.1.43 Rubens 9 is listed in his USHMM record, meaning that was the date he had a change of registration to a new address. 

First of all, thank you so much for all the clarifying information--I like that you've told me exactly how you decided who is related to Szymon, and that it's very easy to follow. Keep up the good work!

-Sura Mindla is also listed as Mindla Sura--might want to go check on the entry with the names listed the other way around. Both are born in 1900.
-Krajndla Gepner was either born in 1928 or 1927, depending on which record for her you follow. Check out both and see what you find. (Sadly, you'll also find out her fate by looking at all of her records.)
-Icek Gepner has a similar date quandary: he was either born in 1924 or 1925, depending on which record you consult.
-Efrojm Ojzer, like his possible wife, is also listed as Ojzer Efrojm. Check out his other record as well--it's another sad one, unfortunately.
-There's another Gepner at SCHMIEDE (possibly "Goldschmiedegasse")8 4 and Buschlinie 35--so many people in one apartment! His name is Abram Gepner. Check him out as well!
