There were two entries both for Estera Frajda Bitterman born 01/01/1924 with the same addresses listed. Born in the year 1924, it would make sense that Estera attending Gymnasium and High School for Girls.

There is a note associated with her information which reads: GEST 28.8.42 which I believe means she died in  August 28th, 1942. I also believe she died in the Lodz Ghetto because there is no note of her being transported anywhere. However, I will continue my research in order to validate this claim.

Good work! I agree that this is the student who signed the album for the Gymnasium. I also agree with your reading of the date in the ghetto note; generally when we see dates of death in the first database, they do refer to death in the ghetto. I wonder if you can find out anything else about her.

I believe this student died in Sattler 7 on 28/8/1942 because on one of the listings the note reads: Sattler 7 GEST 28.8.42

We know from the other listing that Sattler 7 was one of the students addresses within the ghetto, and based on this note it seems likely that this is the location where she died.

I agree that this is the date of death. We cannot be certain of the exact place where she died--we can, however, say that she likely died in the ghetto in general. Thank you for helping to complete Estera's record.
