Ghetto Street Address:
Brotgasse, 4
Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants

Holzstrasse, 19, 14
Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants
User Comments:

With the addresses, what is listed is Brot 4 and Holz 19 14. We assumed these were abbreviations of the streets Brotgasse and Holzstrasse. We also took the ghetto note to be either a move date or the deportation date however as of now there is no way of determing exactly what that date refers to.

Thank you for entering these addresses! We do not know to what January 7, 1942 refers as yet, but I look forward to seeing what you find out about it as your research progresses.

User Comments:

We believe we have found her father, mother and siblings because they all share the same second address. The original address given for Ruta does not correspond with any of the addresses of any one else by that last name. No one in the family is appearing on any records after those in the ghetto.

I agree that you have likely found the members of Ruta's family. You can go ahead and enter Ruta's addresses into the "address" fields on stage 1, if you like.

What do you suppose the date in the "ghetto note" on Ruta's entry in the database means?
