User Comments:

We were uncertain as to the true idetity of this girl. The two birth dates given are qutie different, but both names give the same adddress. We hope to see if perhaps they were sisters or if they were indeed the same person. The ghetto note may be a move date because one source states the period after September of 1942 was relatively calm with few to no deportations until 1944.

You'll also find the same girl as Lea Raca Polka, born on March 11, 1929. October 8, 1942, is listed as the date on which she moved to/from Kelmstrasse 42 in this record.

Father's Name:
Josef Eliasz Palka
Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants
Mother's Name:
Perla Palka
Lodz Ghetto Hospital Records
Sibling's Names:
Moszek Palka
Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants
User Comments:

We listed Moszek as the son, but we are still uncertain as to why he would have been listed under a female profession. Also, there is no record of any of the family past these. I searched the prisoner records from Auschwitz-Birkeneau as well as the death lists, survivor lists, and Social Security Number death list and nothing turned up for any of them. I am not sure where to go from here.

If there is no other information, and you've tried all venues (including Google), then you've gone as far as you can go right now with this name. Thanks for helping to complete Lea/Laja's record.
