I agree that this is a man who was a young boy in Lodz; however, the person who signed the last name "Fuks" in the album signed it for school #2, and students in school #2 were a little younger than Jakub would have been. Jakub would likely have been in Gymnasium in 1941 (though his name does not show up on that list). I'm going to mark this record as "possible," and I encourage you to consult our databases through USHMM to see if there are any other boys with the last name Fuks/Fuchs who fit the age range of school #2. Jakub's is a good story, and it is wonderful that he shares it openly with us, but I'm not sure that he's the person who signed this particular name.
