When searching for Izak Farbsztajn, who was a grammar school student, nothing came up for an exact match or for “sounds like.” When we just used to the first letter of his first name, the name Icchok Farbsztajn appeared. It seems plausible that Izak could be a nickname or even a deviation from a traditional spelling of Icchok. This person was born in 1928 although no birth month or day is given. Occupation is unspecified although since he was born in 1928 he would have been a student at the end of his grammar school years. After this we searched just the last name which brough up two additional results that had the same address. One was a female with a birth date of 1900, which would most likely make her his mother. Another was a female born in 1931, likely his little sister. Even if Icchok is not the same person as Izak, these three people definitely seem to be related.

Please go ahead and add in Icchok Farbsztajn to the "Name" box. Given that Lodz was populated by Polish Jews who spoke Yiddish and whose records were taken down by Germans, this spelling variation (I think Icchok is the transliteration from the Yiddish, Izak a more common Polish variant) is not unexpected. Also, go ahead and move your comment about his potential mother and sister into stage 2. Thanks!
