User Comments:
So when I searched for J. Solarz I found three matches born between 1921 and 1927. Two of the matches are I believe the same boy due to the similarities in addresses.

1.) The first boy I found was Jakub Solarz born 30 Oct 1924 and he lived at Am Bach 5 flat 8. He worked as a SCHNEIDER (Tailer). I never asked before if the occupations have to be Schuler (student) or does it matter?

2.) The second boy I found was Jakub Solarz born in 1925 and he lived at Inselstrasse 29 flat 2 and he also has the city LOWENSTADT (Brzeziny, Poland before the War) as an address. He was a change of registration to a new address dated 28/06/1943 to Runde Gasse 11. He also appears as JAKOB Solarz with the same birth year and living at Runde Gass 11 flat 23 and Inselstrasse 29. He also has an address change dated 22/07/1944. In May of 1942 the Brzeziny ghetto was liquidated and everyone over the ages of 10 were sent to Lodz. If Jakob/Jakub wasn't in the ghetto until May of 1942 then he probably didn't sign his name in the album. However, we cannot know for certain when he arrived here so I still included his information.

I agree that both of these boys are possible candidates to have signed this name in the album, and that the 1925 boys are indeed the same person. Your reasoning about Brzeziny is sound, but let's keep the 1925 Jakub/Jakob in here until we learn more about when he might have come to the ghetto. Thank you for your thorough work.

I found four people living at Am Bach 5 flat 8.

Rafal Elie born 30/04/1893 (Jakub b. 1924 Father) he also has Kutno as an address.

Glika born 28/06/1892 (Jakub b. 1924 Mother)

Rojza Gitla born 10/12/1918 (Jakub b. 1924 Sister)

Gabriel born 07/12/1922 (Jakub b. 1924 brother)

I found three people living at Inselstrasse 29 flat 2

Abram Icek born 15/09/1888 (Jakub b. 1925 father)

Frymet(A) Laja Badower born 1894 (Jakub b. 1925 mother)

Bajla Matla Markowicz born 08/03/1914 - I found a Nuta Markowicz also living with the Solarz family so I'm guessing he and Bajla are perhaps husband and wife and Jakub's sister.

I also found Jakub b. 1925 in the Lodz Work cards under Jakub Majer Solarz born 5 Sep 1925 and living at Inselstrasse 28 flat 23. He was employed at 6 Muhlgasse (Schneiderei) 2 where he was a Machinist and he was employed since 4 June 1942. His worker number was 52695. I searched through the other stages and couldn't find anymore information on the two boys.

I did find on Yad Vashem a page of testimony for Jakub Mayer Solarz born in September of 1925 to Abram Ichock and Frymet Laja. This was submitted by his sister Bella Markowicz and it says he was deported in 1943. I'm assuming this is our Jakub given the similarities between the people, dates, and places in the testimony.

Per your expert reviewer's comment, pease list Rojza Gitla as Jakub 1924's sibling, not his mother. I'm glad you were able to find his labor card--can you find any information in the next stages that confirmed the page of testimony? You can enter the information from the page of testimony into stage 5.
