Sadly, I cannot find any more evidence of Aron. His trail has run cold. I know that he would have been only fifteen years old when the ghetto was liquidated. I'm not sure what the odds of survival for a fifteen year old arriving at Auschwitz would have been in August 1944 (assuming he didn't die in the ghetto or get deported to Chelmno that summer), but I don't think they are good. Secondary sources indicate that several hundred Lodz Jews from one of the metallgruppes was sent via Auschwitz to a Flossenburg subcamp in Dresden. Is it possible he was part of that group? I think it is a long shot (especially since he had switched to a different labor department in late 1943).
