Chana Mirjam Milewska lived with her brother, sister, and parents at Rembrandt 3 1 in the Lodz Ghetto. Before the war, her family lived at this same apartment, but the address was known as S.W. Jakuba 6 Apt 1. The apartment consisted of 1 room. Chana's father was a fine shoemaker and had his shop in the front part of the room. A curtain separated his shop from the rest of the living space. Curtains also separated the room into different sleeping areas. Once the ghetto was established, another family was moved into their apartment/room making it very crowded. The bathroom was located outside in the courtyard. The family lived at this same location until the Lodz Ghetto was liquidated.
