I was able to locate all of Menachem's family members and his deportation date by going to jewishgen.org and searching by last name. In the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants database (which is also available through the USHHM site), I was able to view a spreadsheet type set-up of all the inhabitants with the last name of Sztyft. Through the USHHM site, Menachem had a deportation date listed as 10.9, but no year. On the jewishgen.org database, the date of 10.9.42 was listed, which led me to believe that he was deported in September of 1942 during the Gehsperre Aktion and ended up at Chelmno.
