Acccording to the Holocaust Encyclopedia,

Chaim was liberated in Flossenbürg. He was 17 years old. He later changed his name to Aleksander Laks and immigrated to Brazil.

A history of his life is narrated in an 8+ minute film, in Portuguese, http://politicageral.wordpress.com/2011/12/17/a-historia-de-aleksander-laks/

He also has written one memoir:   O Sobrevivente - Memórias de um brasileiro que escapou de Awschwitz and may have published a second book.  There was mention that he was working on a second book about his life in Brazil from 1948 on, but I could not find a title or publication date.  http://www.coisasjudaicas.com/2011/01/o-sobrevivente-do-holocausto-aleksander.html#.T-tcMrWJc68
