Abstract:
The article by Czeslaw Rajca addresses the forced labor at Majdanek, specifically with the German Armament Works Ltd. (Deutsche Ausrüstungswerke). It was founded on 3 May 1939. In July 1945 the Lublin work camp of the DAW was liberated and all the establishments ceased to exist. Included is a list of c. 500 prisoners working in an arms factory on Lipowej (Lipovaya) Street in Lublin, Poland -- a subcamp of Majdanek. Entries include prisoner number, birthdate, birthplace, occupation and administrative division within the arms factory, prisoner category (e.g. political, asocial, etc.), and nationality.
