i think it is great that she takes time out of her busy life to help these kids and I also think its wonderful how she is adopting a lot of children to help them. i know she will give them a great life and she is a great mother and you are millions of peoples idols including me. I hope maybe someday i can grow up to be as respected and grateful as you

i think Angelina is a great person for what she is doing, by going over there that was easily risking her life. For a little girl to point a gun at a camera man just for trying to take her picture is crazy. They have these kids on a whole different kind of level. I feel bad that they have to live this way over there. So many people suffering, millions dying, no one should have to live that way. For children to have to see so many people injury, killed in front of them, that is damaging to their lifes, to anyone's lifes. I support what she they are doing over there, i support any one who is fighting for their freedom. Watching the documentary was heart breaking. It is so unbelieveable that people can be so, brutal... Anyone who stands up for these people, their lives are touched.

I think that it took courage and bravery to step foot anywhere near the Genocide to help these people of Congo. I think that Angelina and John put a great effort to show us all what is really happening and to make us realize how unfortunate this was to the people of Congo. So many people that I've talked to including my own family, have never heard of the troubles in the Congo. It is everyone's responsibility in this country and other countries to make more and more people aware of this situation.

I am in horrific awe that human kind can be evil in its pures form. I cannot fathom that the United States has done nohting. When their is not a people in greater need than these. Why does the world sit back and watch millions be slaughtered. I cannot think of a more justifiable purpose for war against the murders who do this things. I want to help make a difference.

I think that people who do help with this genocide are very noble and generous but the only way to help is to stand up and do something. There is a holocaust going on in this world that we call home.I am inspired by john and angelinas support.I hope that others, including myself, can do the same. thank you.

I am enriched by the awareness John and Angelina have put forward with their cause in Congo. I think that it is selfish of me to be greatful for what I have and appreciate my life only when seeing the unfortunate of others. I can not imagine what it is like to live in such a tortuous environment like Congo or other parts of the world. I am enlightened by the amount of courage and strength the women and children have who battle the odds against them every moment they breath and live. I know that reading Angelina's journal is not even a fraction of what is going on in Congo. I am amazed at the journey taken and how it conveys the unknown and less fortunate. I am encouraged by the dedication you both have and the awareness that has been created world wide.

I wish there were more rich and famous individuals the same as Angelina and John to do these types of travels. With such compassion and understanding. It helps the others to know and to understand suffering and hunger in other part of the world, specially Africa. War, Aids, gap between rich and poor. We all as human beings are responsible about what is happening over there.
I am very greatefull to people and organizations that help the people in needs. The United Nation is doing a wonderful job, helping and educating in this matter. Thanks for opening more eyes.

To say that I am moved by the ‘journal’ by Angelina and John would be a huge understatement. I am African and while most Africans have seen and/or experienced poverty firsthand, there is still a lot that’s happening here that we are ignorant of.

I can only applaud people like these, people who take some time to give back to society, people who take a moment to care about the perils in this, our continent-especially when they don’t have to.

For us, Africans, proud as we are, we do our bit. We help those around us, support our families, love and care for those less fortunate than ourselves…and perhaps if we all loved a little more and cared just a little more, we would make our continent that much safer, that much richer.

And, to the wonderful people that put in their resources and their time; those who take a minute to visit, to listen, and to care, I can only say thank you. Thank you for seeing beyond the suffering that clouds our countries, and for viewing our continent as more than just darkness…for seeing the hope we have....the hope and strength beyond suffering.

I was so moved by Angelina and John's accounts of their travels to the Congo. I wish there were more people in this world with the compassion and understanding that they have. If there were, the world would not be in the situation it is in. I am in awe of their work. I am even more so in awe of all the beautiful, strong and amazing people who have to live every day of their lives in these terrible situations. I have always been a fan of Angelina's and she has opened up a whole new world to me - one I barely knew exsisted. There are so many (too many) places that are in peril such as the Eastern Congo. I am grateful to organizations that are willing to see past the 'barriers' and help the people who so much need it. I am also grateful to people like Angelina who have the means and status to help the rest of us see what's really going on. They are such inspiring people. THANK YOU to every one who has the courage - and I am now finding mine to help (and incourage others to do so as well.)

Montreal: It is a Sunday morning after waking up in my comfortable bed drinkng my coffee from my new cappucino machine.... So easy to become complacent and deny what is happening in another part of the world. Observing and learning what Angelina and John are working towards by shedding light on the plight of the people of Congo is the essence of hope. They have opened my eyes this morning, never to be shut again. Because of their tireless efforts and the resilient spirits of the Congolese people I have vowed to make a difference however small it may be. I thank you for enriching my life from this point on.
