Mr. Paul Morrow

Professional Background

Paul Morrow is a PhD candidate in philosophy at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee (USA), where he is writing a dissertation on the application of the concepts of conventions and social norms to theories of mass atrocity and transitional justice. For his Raab Foundation Fellowship, he conducted research for his project “Social Norms and Conventions amongst Holocaust Perpetrators, Rescuers, and Bystanders.”

Mr. Morrow has presented research related to his project at the 2012 New School for Social Research Graduate Conference, as well as at the 2012 National Social Philosophy Conference. With Larry May, he edited the collection of essays Procedural Justice, published in March 2012 by Ashgate Publishing. He is the recipient of several awards, including a University Honors Fellowship and the Kendall Berry Ethics Dissertation Prospectus Award.

Mr. Morrow was in residence at the Mandel Center from August 1 to December 31, 2012.
