User Comments:
When I searched for D. Kotland I found only one boy who seemed like the best match. He was Dawid Kotland born 9 April 1929 and he lived at Rast 3 flat 5 and Hohensteinerstrasser 26 (no flat) and he had a date 6.6.44. He appears a second time with the address Rast 6 flat 2 and Ozorkow. He as a Change of registration to new address dated 10.1.44 to Hohens 26 (no flat). Ozorkow is a city in Poland but I don't know what this means for Dawid. Did he perhaps come from Ozorkow?

It is possible that he came from Ozorkow--that was one of the smaller cities whose Jews were sent to Lodz when the ghetto was established. If there is a date of June 6, 1944, look closely at the records in the last three stages to see if there is a chance he survived the war, since he was in the ghetto at a very late stage.

I found four people living at the same address as Dawid.

Sura Baila Kotland born 1891 and died 17 Jul 1942 (his mother)

Malka Laja born 1914 and died 13 July 1942 (his sister)

Machla born 1921 died 5 July 1942 (his sister)

Brana born 1920 died 26 September 1942 (his sister)

Dawid was only 13 when his mother died and a few months later his sister died and he was left alone. I searched through the following 3 stages and didn't find anymore information on Dawid in the databases. I even looked on Yad Vashem and did a Google search and couldn't find anything so I guess we don't know whether Dawid survived or perished.

I agree that these are Dawid's family members. What do you think about the June 6, 1944 date you found in stage 1?
