Student Profile: H. Bornstein

When I searched for H. Borenstein there were a number of results but only one name fit the age range of 1921 and 1927.  The girl was HENRYETTE BORNSTEIN born 1926 and she lived at  Matrosen 14 flat 23 and she had a changed of registration to new address on 6 Jul 1941 to CEGLANA (STEINMETZ) 20. I decided to do a fuzzy search of the last name Borenstein and found Henryette as HENRYJETTA BORENSZTAJN with the same birth year and same addresses STEINMETZ 20 flat 3A and MATROSEN 14.I also found her as HENRYETTA BORNSZTAJN born 1929 and living at the same address. Since she has a birthdate of 1929 she would have been to young too attend the Gymnasium. We'll have to wait until I found out more about her to see which birthdate is correct and if indeed she is the correct student.

I also agree that we do not know which birthdate is correct for her, and the 1929 date would make her too young to attend gymnasium. Were you able to find any additional information in the next stages that might clarify this?

I only found SURA MIRLA BORNSZTAJN/BORENSTZJAN born 1885 living at the same addresses of Henryjetta. I didn't find anymore information on her or her mother in this stage. I found a Henrietta Bornstein in the Survivors database but there isn't anyway to know if this is the person we're searching for.

Thank you for your caution about including Henrietta Bornstein from the survivors' database--unless we have information linking her to Lodz, there's no way to know that these are the same person. I hope we can find out more about this girl as more information becomes available to us.
