User Comments:

Natan Niewiadomski appears with the birthdate of 1934 and living at Alexhof 15 flat 27 and Hamburger 15 and moved on 15.12.42. He also appears as Natan Niewiadomska and living at Alexhof 15 flat 33 and a ghetto address that says, "Zabrano Ze Soba," and also a note that says, Syna. Not sure what they refer too.

I agree that this is the person who signed the album. "Zabrano ze sobą" means roughly "they took with them" or "they went together," and "syna" means "son" in Polish, so it seems to me that these notes mean that Natan's parents and Natan moved together to the address on Alexanderhofstrasse. This is the first time I've seen that kind of note, so I'm curious to see what else you find in the later stages.

Okay, I couldn't find any people living at Alexhof  15 27 but I did find possibly one living at Alexhof 15 flat 33. The woman was Cytla born 17/07/1899 and she had a address od Przpracy 1136 (note sure if an address or not?) I also found Gitla born 13/07/1899 and with the ghetto addresses of Mlynarska 3, and Alexhof 15, and a ghetto note of Hamburger 13. Then I also found Jakubowicz Gilta born 03/07/1894 and living at Alexhof 15 and Hamburger 13 flat 11 and a ghetto note of gest (died.) I'm guessing Jakubowicz was her maiden name and that they are all the same woman.

I couldn't find any referance to Przpracy 1136. I did a google search and I couldn't find anything. I also searched through the databases on the other stages and couldn't find anymore information on Natan or his mother.

I agree that these people probably are all the same person and his mother.

I'm also not entirely sure what to make of Przpracy. In the Lodz Ghetto street addresses database, we find that Przy often shows up as the first half of a street name (Przy Nowaka) earlier in Lodz' history, and Prz- is often the beginning of street names (Przejazd and Przedzalniana among them), but I don't see a reference to Przpracy. I'll try to pose this to some of our Polish experts and see what they think. Thanks for helping to complete Natan's record, as far as we can at this point.
