Student Profile: Szlomek Erdzast

I searched the database under the exact setting for the last name Erdzast, and returned no matches. When I searched under the fuzzy setting, I was able to find one boy that had a date of birth that was within the range for attending School #14B. Szlama Icchok Erdynast was born on 29.11.1929. His occupation is listed as Schueler. I suspect that it may be him that signed the album because of the similarity in given name and name listed in the album. I believe that Szlomek is either a nickname or a variation of Szlama and that Erdynast was mistaken because of handwriting as Erdzast.

I do agree that this is the only match in the database. If you look at the JewishGen Given Name Database you will find that Szlomek ad Szlama are two versions of the same name. Spelling differences-in this case of the last name-can be a result of translation mistakes or simply that the handwriting was difficult to read. Good luck in the following stages!
