User Comment:
When I searched for Sz. Zolty I found one boy who I believe was the correct student. He was Szymon Zolty born 20 Dec 1927 and he lived at Alt-Markt 10 flat 15. He also appears as Szymon Zoelty born 1927 and living at the same address and having a deportation date of 10 Sep 1942.

I agree. Can you use the resources in the Community Center to determine where a deportation on that date would have gone?

User Comment:
Szymon was deported on 10 Sep 1942 during the Gehsperre Aktion and deported to Chelmno where he perished in the gas vans. I found his parents as Szmul Dawid Zolty/Zoelty born 27 Sep 1891 and died 14 May 1942, Chawa Zolty born 27/05/1890 and his siblings as Symcha Binem Zolty/Zoelty born 1919 or 15/06/1915 and died 31/?/1942, Izrael Jakob born 25 Sep 1917, Laja Rohza born 25/09/1920, Rachela born 25/07/1923, and Ira Brohne born 23/09/1925. I found on Yad Vashem a page of testimony for Shimon Zhulti who was born on 20 Dec 1927 in Lodz Poland to Rabbi David Shmuel Zhulti and Khava Zhulti and it states he was killed in a camp in 1942. The testimony was submitted by his sister Lea Zulti Dimant. I'm pretty sure this is the Szymon I've been researching since there is testimonies for Izrael, Symcha, Ira, and Rachela and all the dates correspond to the Lodz Ghetto in habitants records.

Thank you for finding his family members. You can add Shimon Zhulti as another spelling on this stage (citing the correct source). Thank you for helping to complete Szymon's record and for your excellent note on this stage on your process.
