User Comment:

When H* and Aleksandrowicz were put into the search tool, Hena was the only one whose birthdate made it possible that she signed the album.

There was a note 'altermeiter' underneath the address, which, when translated from German, means 'old tenant.'

Expert Reviewer Comment:
I agree that you have found the student who signed the album. Thank you!

I also agree this is the person who signed this name in the album. Thank you for adding the Altermieter note--many addresses on Pfeffergasse come with this note.

User Comment:

It appears as though Hena and her siblings Godel (b. 1924), Majer (b. 1928), and Abram (b. 1933) lived with their grandmother, Perel Chaja (b. 1866). There was no one else with a matching address that was the right age to have either been a mother or father.

Perel and Abram have a second address listed with them, Pieprzow 10, but Godel, Majer, and Hena do not have this address associated with them. A deportation date is listed for all as March 30, 1942 (except Abram--he is simply listed as having been on transport 19, but Godel's record indicates both March 30, 1942 and transport 19, so I've concluded that the transport 19 listed on Abram's record is associated with the same deportation date as the rest of his family.) March 30, 1942 was during the month of daily deportations to Chelmno, so I've concluded that Chelmno is the fate of this family.

Expert Reviewer Comment:
Nice work! Thank you for adding Hena's familiy members to the record. I agree - given the date - that they have been deported to Chelmno.
Approver Comment:
I also agree that this would have been a deportation to Chelmno. Thank you for correcting the source for her place of death.
